Successful business owners know the benefits of being actively and directly involved in the local community. By contributing to our community in ways other than repairing motor vehicles, we’ve earned the respect, trust and loyalty of our customers.
As a family owned, locally operated business we are directly accountable to the citizens of Prince George, many of whom we know personally. This is our home, so being involved in our community is more to us than just a good business decision.
We are longstanding members of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, and we are registered with the Better Business Bureau. We have also been active in fundraising campaigns for a variety of organizations including Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Prince George.
Norgate fosters a culture that encourages and rewards employees for volunteering their time and labour for a variety of company causes and initiatives.
As a CARSTAR member we participate in nationally coordinated fundraising campaigns for charity. Over the past 20 years, CARSTAR and its business and franchise partners have raised more than $3 million for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
We also partner with CARSTAR’s “Soaps It Up” National Car Wash Fundraiser. Last year the proceeds were split between Cystic Fibrosis Canada and the Prince George Soccer Club.
As part of our commitment to community education and road safety we sponsor Operation Red Nose, hosted by the Rotary Club of Prince George – Nechako. This annual holiday season campaign offers free rides to members of the Prince George Community who don’t feel fit to drive. Providing an alternative to driving under the influence makes the roads safer for us all.
We support The Kidney Foundation of Canada by participating in its annual Kidney Walk.
Through our participation in The International Benevolence Program, Norgate has donated a total of six cars to deserving members of the Prince George community.
Our employees volunteer their time and energy in refurbishing a car that has been written off. We partner with local community organizations, such as the Prince George Council of Seniors in selecting deserving individuals as recipients.
At Norgate, we are grateful for the contribution of our employees and the participation of our customers in helping us fulfill our commitment to the community of Prince George.
